Mars, the far future. War droids created for a conflict that ended centuries ago, the A.B.C. WARRIORS are resistant to Atomic, Bacterial and Chemical warfare. Originally recruited to bring peace to the frontier colony world of Mars, the Mek-neficent Seven comprise leader Hammerstein, the mystical Deadlock, sharpshooter Joe Pineapples, the treacherous Blackblood, dim-witted Mek-Quake, the brutal Mongrol and recently revived Steelhorn. Following several years wandering the galaxy, the Warriors returned to Mars to find Medusa - the consciousness of the planet itself - rebelling against human terraformers. Their efforts to 'increase the pease' allowed the native Martians to live in harmony with Terrans - but now civil war has broken out between the Confederacy of Martian Industries and the Union of Martian Free States...

Snow/Tiger » Pax Americana (part 6)

USA, April 2003. Codenames SNOW and TIGER are agents of T.A.C.T.I.C (Trans-Atlantic Counter-Terrorist Intelligence Command), a joint British/American covert ops agency set up to combat international terrorism in all its forms. A cautious lateral thinker, Snow is a British Intelligence Officer of Arabic descent, who believes negotiation, diplomacy and learning to understand your enemy are essential to defeating terrorism, while her partner Tiger is an ex-U.S. Delta Force soldier, for whom direct action is the only possible solution. Their diametrically opposed beliefs are the source of much conflict - but in today's shifting international landscape, nothing is ever quite as it seems. Now, Islamic extremists have taken staff hostages at Atlanta's Centre for Disease Control and Prevention...

Interceptor » Interceptor (part 5)

New York City, 2478. Former combat surgeon Doctor Lyra Darius is as passionate about saving lives at Guilliani General as she is about her boyfriend, Distract Attorney Marcus Cross. But at the end of a gruelling forty-eight-hour rotation in Emergency, all she's looking forward to is a quiet, relaxing evening - but when a gunshot victim is wheeled in demanding attention, her life is about to take a very weird turn...

Judge Dredd » Hard Day's Night (part 3)

Mega-City One, 2130 AD. This vast urban nightmare on the east coast of post-apocalyptic North America is home to 400 million citizens, every one a potential criminal. With lawlessness rife, only the Judges can prevent total anarchy. These future lawmen are judge, jury and executioner. Toughest of them all is Judge Dredd - he is the law! Inspired by Clint Eastwood in Dirty Harry; the film poster for Death Race 2000. The name Judge Dredd came from Pat Mills who was originally going to use it for a different character. The first Judge Dredd story published was drawn by Mike McMahon, not co-creator Carlos Ezquerra. Ezquerra was so upset that he didn't draw Dredd for five years afterwards, only returning for the Apocalypse War mega-epic.
