Strontium Dog » The Glum Affair (part 10)

Late 22nd century. In 2150, atomic war broke out on Earth, and Britain was devastated by nuclear holocaust. While the survivors attempted to rebuild their lives, many were warped by the mutating effects of Strontium 90 fallout. The 'mutants' became a victimised underclass, unable to live or find work amongst the 'norms'. One such STRONTIUM DOG is Johnny Alpha, partnered with his Viking buddy Wulf Sternhammer...

Stickleback » England's Glory (part 10)

London, the turn of the nineteenth century. In this sprawling city, the inhabitants live in fear of a villainous character only spoken about in whispers. He's rumoured to be a master criminal, pulling the strings amidst the denizens of the underworld, manipulating them to his own ends. He's called STICKLEBACK, and he leads a gang of freaks, oddballs and semi-supernatural entities. Having defeated the City Fathers - once the power behind the capital's organised crime syndicates - Stickleback and his lieutenants have got London wrapped up tight. But there's a stranger in town...

Judge Dredd » Emphatically Evil: The Life and Crimes of PJ Maybe (part 7)

Mega-City One, 2130 AD. This vast urban nightmare on the east coast of post-apocalyptic North America is home to 400 million citizens, every one a potential criminal. With lawlessness rife, only the Judges can prevent total anarchy. These future lawmen are judge, jury and executioner. Toughest of them all is Judge Dredd - he is the law! Inspired by Clint Eastwood in Dirty Harry; the film poster for Death Race 2000. The name Judge Dredd came from Pat Mills who was originally going to use it for a different character. The first Judge Dredd story published was drawn by Mike McMahon, not co-creator Carlos Ezquerra. Ezquerra was so upset that he didn't draw Dredd for five years afterwards, only returning for the Apocalypse War mega-epic.

Tharg's Terror Tales » The Talisman (part 1)

Experience the terrifying side of Thrill-power with these one-off tales from beyond the shadowy veil of sanity. Whether they be ghostly goings-on that send shivers up the spine, or guts-to-the-wall splatterfests that sear the retina and paralyse the mind, nothing is what it seems in these glimpses of a horrifying realm beyond our own...
