Some point in the future, in another galaxy, Jude has been in and out of every prison in the system, but despite her reputation as a habitual escapee, nothing can prepare her for Lazarus. This is where the worst of the worst end up - a sentence to Lazarus is in all senses a death sentence. Ruled with an iron fist by the corrupt governor Rosa Karn and her robot guards - headed by the fearsome Dreadnought - prisoners are worked to the end of their lives in the ore-rich mines, their every moment captured on the tiny cameras inserted in the contact lenses they are forced to wear. With no possibility of reprieve, the word is that nobody gets off Lazarus alive, but Jude is determined to prove the exception to the rule...
